My name is Anthony, I’m a Business Advisor and Open-source Technology Nerd. In between the occasional business advisory gigs I build IoT prototypes.

This site represents my personal views. Although I have written academic, commercial and educational material, this is none of those things. You will not find peer reviewed work, citations. If your lucky there will be links for context.

Background My family and I live on a modest 20 hectare farm in the in the Scenic Rim region of Queensland, Australia. I joke about having 'built the internet', although I think there is some truth to that statement. In the very early 90's I was coding some of the first 'world wide web' pages. Including the first online pizza ordering site, the first financial services website and one of the most popular interactive forums, the precursors to social media as we know it today. There were only a few of us back then, building what we believed was the future.

Today I remain an advocate of open-source software standards and free speech. I keep my technical skills sharp by cooking my own web services on FreeBSD and building the odd smart farm gadget. I hold particular importance to the design ideals of elegance and robustness.

I am dismayed at how social movements have hijacked science under the guise of altruistic concerns. I am concerned the left wing have harbour oppressors we fought against. With the cost of the average family home several times the wage of an average family, we are forced to tow the line and fight each other instead of the truly powerful. Once upon a time environmentalists cared about habitat and clean water, socialists about the poor.
