My name is Anthony, I’m a Business Advisor, open-source technology advocate and hobby farmer. In between advisory work and farm activities I build smart farm gadgets using robotics and automation.

Today I remain an advocate of open-source software. I keep my technical skills sharp running my own web services on FreeBSD. I’ve automated our farm using Home Assistant and ESPHome along with a handful of different hardware platforms, some of which needed to build myself.

I am dismayed at how social movements have seized the terms 'science' and 'scientist' to validate apocalyptic narratives. I consider myself left leaning however the traditional left aligned political parties are locked in an existential battle to appeal to people who are ashamed to be people. Once upon a time environmentalists cared about habitat and clean water, socialists about the working class. I fear we have replaced organised religion with something equally sinister.

This site represents nothing more than my personal views (brain farts). Although I have written academic, commercial and educational papers, this is none of those things.
